Insulation Piercing Connectors

The first insulation piercing connector (IPC) was created by Sicame in 1975.  Since that time, we have adapted insulation piercing connectors to comply with most worldwide standards and now sell them in over 80 countries.  Our current line of IPC’s includes both overhead (TTD) and underground (Piranha) models for 600-volt secondary connections.

Regardless of the model you choose, all Sicame IPC’s provide the following benefits that guarantee a superior connection:

  •  IPC’s provide a simple, quick and cost effective connection.  There is no cable stripping required.  The installation simply involves the insertion of the jacketed secondary cable into the connector and tightening of a shear head bolt with a standard socket wrench.

  • Sicame’s IPC’s decrease the risk of electrical accidents.  The design of all of our connectors eliminate the need for personnel to come into contact with bare metal conductors or the conductive material of the connector.

  • Our connectors increase your customers’ service reliability by providing a superior watertight connection.  The combination of special features such as flexible cable joints, end caps and grease tanks seal connections from the corrosive effects of oxygen and water.

Please select your specific application to learn more about how Sicame’s connectors can provide for your overhead or underground connection needs.
